Next evening talk is Tuesday 20th March
This date is as published in our original programme – but please note the talk itself is not!
At this meeting we will be welcoming another new face to a Society meeting when Victoria Bentata (Oxford graduate, local historian and member of the Oxford Guild of Guides) comes to give us an armchair tour of Scientific and Medical Oxford. Victoria is keen to save Roger Bacon, the 13th century English Franciscan scientist and scholar, from increasing obscurity .. so we should be in for a talk encompassing many centuries.
The talk will start at 7.30pm – the Iffley Church Hall doors will be open from about 7.10pm.
