Iffley History Society

The Society’s programme of evening talks does not resume until 20th February 2018. (Members will receive a January Newsletter giving them further details.)

The Oxford Architectural and Historical Society  does hold meetings before then –  at Rewley House (Wellington Square, Oxford) – which are excellent ways of keeping up with local history in the interim! Attendance at their lectures is free to non-members. Their Meetings start at 5.30 pm.

23 January 2018  John Blair : Roman and Early Medieval Wychwood: New Thoughts and Discoveries

6 February 2018 Ben Ford: Westgate Oxford: Initial Results from Oxford’s Largest Excavation – a prehistoric floodplain, a medieval friary, Civil War defences and Victorian terraces (The Tom Hassall Lecture)
